This article will walk you through how to register a patient in the app. Once a patient is registered, the sensor will turn on and begin monitoring.

Step 1: In the app, click on the icon of an empty room.

Step 2: A dialog box will ask if you'd like to add a patient. Tap "Add Patient."

Step 3: Several settings options will appear, including the following sensitivity settings.

  • Low: a patient can sit at the edge of the bed without the system alerting. The system will alert when the patient is out of bed.
  • High: a patient can roll around in bed without the system alerting. The system will alert when the patient makes the movement to elevate and exit.
  • Ultra-high: the system will alert when the patient makes any movement to elevate or move past the bed edge.

Select the correct settings for your patient. Then click "Review."

Step 4: Review all the content to ensure it's correct. Tap "Confirm."

Step 5: The sensor will now begin calibrating. You will hear the sensor say, "Detecting the floor. Detecting the wall. Detecting the bed. Detecting the chair." The sensor will then ask you to calibrate the sensor to the chair by saying, "Please hold the calibration card above the chair."

Step 6: Hold the calibration card at chest height above the chair. If you do not need chair monitoring, click the Triangle button on the remote to skip this step.

Note: Please hold the calibration card by its edges ensuring your fingers do not obscure the card.

Step 7: The sensor will say, "Chair calibrated. System is on. Monitoring bed," when the calibration is finished. The sensor is now on and monitoring the bed. If you would like chair monitoring, press the "Chair Mode" button on the remote.
