This guide will walk you through attending a VSTAlert for Senior Living alert from your mobile device.
When a fall or bed/chair exit is detected, you will receive an alert on your mobile device. The alert will read Fall Detected, Bed Exit, or Chair Exit.
After you have received the alert, users should:
1. Click the green On My Way button to accept the alert.
2. Walk to the room with the alert and attend to the resident.
3. After the resident is safe, use the remote to resume the sensor.
Using the Remote
The VSTAlert remote must be used to resume the sensor. This should be done differently depending on if the resident is being monitored for falls, or falls and exits.
Fall-Only Monitoring
If the resident is only being monitored for falls, you may press either the Bed Mode or Chair Mode buttons to resume monitoring. It does not matter which button of the two is pressed.
Bed/Chair Exit Monitoring
If the resident is being monitored for bed/chair exits, you must press the correct monitoring mode to resume monitoring. If the resident is in bed, press the Bed Mode button. If the resident is in a chair, press the Chair Mode button.
Once the sensor has resumed monitoring, you may exit the room.
